SEO Audit

An SEO audit finds what stops your site from ranking on Google and appearing in AI answers, then ranks every fix by impact and effort. You get a clear action list instead of a 90-page PDF nobody reads.

What problem does an SEO audit solve?

Most sites that stall on Google have a handful of problems doing most of the damage. Usually it is a mix of indexing issues, thin or overlapping pages, weak internal linking and content that does not match search intent. The hard part is knowing which issues matter. A generic tool report flags hundreds of “errors” with no sense of priority.

This audit works the other way round. I start from your Search Console data, find where clicks are being lost, and trace each loss back to a cause you can fix.

Who is this audit for?

  • Business and affiliate sites whose traffic has plateaued or dropped after a Google update
  • Coupon and deals sites competing for “[brand] promo code” keywords
  • Teams about to redesign or migrate who want a baseline and a redirect plan first
  • Founders who want an honest second opinion on their current agency’s work

How is this different from an automated report?

Automated tools are part of the process, but every finding is checked by hand and tied to real traffic data. You get fewer findings, and each one comes with the reason it matters, how to fix it, and roughly how much traffic it is worth.

What's included

  • Crawl of every indexable URL (indexing, canonicals, redirects, status codes)
  • Core Web Vitals and mobile performance review
  • Search Console analysis of queries, pages and lost clicks
  • Content quality, cannibalisation and thin-page review
  • Internal linking and site-architecture map
  • Structured data and entity check (Organization, Person, Product, FAQ)
  • AI-search visibility check in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews
  • Competitor gap analysis for your top 3 rivals

How it works

  1. Kick-off

A 30-minute call about your goals, markets and past SEO work. You share Search Console and analytics access.

  2. Crawl and data pull

Full crawl plus Search Console, analytics and backlink data, joined into one dataset.

  3. Analysis

Every issue is scored by traffic impact and effort, so the list starts with what pays back fastest.

  4. Report and walkthrough

A recorded walkthrough of the findings and a live call to answer questions.

  5. Follow-up

Two weeks of email support while your team implements the fixes.

What you get

  • Prioritised fix list in a shared spreadsheet (impact × effort)
  • Executive summary of the top 10 actions
  • Recorded video walkthrough
  • Ready-to-paste schema and robots.txt where needed

Frequently asked questions

How long does an SEO audit take?

Most audits take 7–10 working days from kick-off, depending on site size. Sites over 50,000 URLs can take longer.

What access do you need?

Read access to Google Search Console and your analytics tool. CMS access is optional and only needed if you want me to check templates directly.

Will you implement the fixes too?

I can, as a separate project, or I can work alongside your developer. The audit is written so any competent developer can act on it.

Does the audit cover AI search?

Yes. I check how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews describe your brand, and whether your pages are crawlable and quotable by AI systems.

Is this suitable for small sites?

Yes. For small sites the audit is shorter and cheaper, but it follows the same method.
